In all families, there are discussions to be had, opinions to be shared, advice to be given, guidelines put in place, decisions to be made and so on for family life to function effectively. Well, the same can be said for our Church family. Whilst the highlight of our time together as a family comes when we meet to worship and fellowship together there is much that happens aside from those times. So What are those things, Where and When do they happen, How are the decisions made and Why do certain aspects of church life take place? Reflecting on these questions recently we've realized that perhaps we have not always made the time to give our members all the information needed for you to effectively participate in some areas of church life. We need your help for our church to function at its best. Your opinions count, we want you to be part of discussions, help us set those guidelines needed, your vote is important and your advice and input is invaluable. We are sorry if we have not often let you know that in the past and with a growing and changing membership these are things we want to commit to reminding you about from time to time. So here's what we would like to do to answer some of the how, what, when, where and why's of church life. Commencing over the next few weeks we will highlight in our church news emails and bulletin various committees, processes and aspects of church life. We will give you a brief summary of how that particular process or department functions and how you can contribute. Here are a few of the areas that we will address.....
Business Meetings, Board Meetings, Nominating Committee, Church Finances, Church Safety, Department ministries. Please let us know if there are other aspects of church life you would like more information about. You can obtain detailed information on these and many more topics in the SDA Church Manual which is available to purchase from the ABC or on-line. Our Pastors and Elders Team are here to support you, be your advocate and serve our church family and we want to continue to improve the way in which we do this and we hope that the information we share over the coming months in our Church Life snippets will be not only informative but inspiring to you as a valuable member of our church family.

For those that attended last year you will remember what a great night this was packed full of talent. SoulCare is an initiative of the Encounter group who wanted to conduct an event to support local charities. Last year over $3000 was raised for CareFlight. This year in addition to CareFlight the event will also be supporting some vital projects at Cabooluture Hospital. These are both organisations that anyone of us could need at anytime so we hope that you can plan to be there to support the Concert on Nov 21st. This event is organised and sponsored by the Encounter Group and there is a line up of Professional talent for the evening once again. Please take note of posters, flyers and bulletin for full details.
Are you feeling a bit out of balance and want to feel more relaxed, peaceful and energized?
